LED neon signs are the perfect replacement for the traditional glass neon signs used for advertising and personal branding. Whether they are hooked on a podcaster’s wall or used as a wedding decoration, their demand is never-ending. To fulfil this demand, our client, who specialises in LED neon signs, envisioned an online platform that would carry a wide collection of neon signs, from classic to quirky, and from commercial to residential, all under one umbrella. To grow one’s business multifold, one needs to go online in order to reach a larger market.
That’s when they turned to Progryss, and our team quickly understood their vision and the need to effectively showcase their unique products online.
The Challenge:
To build an effective e-commerce website that caters to a wide range of customers belonging to different ages and backgrounds. In addition, the website must have an engaging user interface.
The client also requested Customisation App Integration, which would help customers design and customise their own neon signs on the website.

The Solution:
Planning: In order to build a user-friendly and robust website, it was necessary to understand Crazy Neon’s vision, brainstorm ideas, and come up with a strategic list of features that would be important for the site.
Design: Our design team was responsible for creating a vibrant and visually appealing website design that would compel buyers to browse and buy. They leveraged the design tool Figma to achieve high-quality website interfaces.
Development: Our brilliant team of developers employed the robust features of Shopify. Using its tools, we crafted a website that provides a high degree of functionality. While working on the website, we also decided to segregate the various product ranges under the “Shop” page, which would help customers sift through neon signs based on their need, occasion, or purpose. For example, neon signs for weddings, neon signs for bars, etc.
Customisation App Integration: Keeping in mind the client’s request, we integrated a customisation app that would provide an opportunity for customers to select the font, size, colour, and background board for neon signs. This customisation app also has an online calculator that would provide the cost of a neon sign depending on the size and font of the sign. In addition, a payment gateway was also incorporated for seamless and hassle-free online transactions.
Testing and Launch: Within a span of two months, the product design was prepared and tested, shared with the client, and to their satisfaction, the website was ready to cater to a wide range of customers, leading to a successful launch.
A Year and a Half Later…
The Impact:
Within a span of 1.5 years, the website’s performance exceeded client expectations. Due to overwhelming demand and increased site visits, Crazy Neon turned to us again. This time asking to manage such a large influx of web traffic. It was time for our team to work on the scalability of the website, and hence we suggested switching from standard Shopify to Shopify Plus. The latter is better equipped to handle heavy traffic and transactions, which ensures that the website remains operational and responsive during high traffic. It also guarantees a higher uptime rate and an improved shopping experience for the customer.
The Result:
In business, it is crucial to make the right call at the right time. The switch from Shopify to Shopify Plus was a huge leap and was indicative of the tremendous success that our client had. Through their remarkable online platform, they have delivered LED neon signs to over 10,000 customers and have become one of the leading players in the US neon sign market.
